And We'll Lead You Through Each Step.

A Specific Plan, For Your Specific Goals

Phased training schedules that grow with you. Each schedule is different and grows with our knowledge after each season. We worry about the end result and how to get you there. You just worry about what’s on the schedule for the day.

Circuit Training - Yep, It helps You Run Faster

With circuit training sessions each week, we’ve been striving to keep our team healthier and stronger. We focus on all those little things that get neglected with your typical routine. Combine this with our phased training schedule and you’ll be on the fast train to PR city.

A Coach With Experience

Jody

Jody brings his knowledge as both a coach, seasoned athlete, and athletic footwear designer to the West Coast Speed Shop. After a decorated Cross Country / Track career at the University of Texas at Arlington, and a degree in Exercise Science, Jody returned to his alma mater to focus on the continued growth of the program. Through experience recruiting top talent and developing training programs, Jody began to specialize in developing athletes from the ground up with a focus on individualized training systems. But beyond the hard edge of performance oriented coaching, Jody found great interest in the psychological subtleties inherent within athletes and their motivations. Now, his coaching ethos continues to aim towards performance, but with the underlying foundation of finding community within the life-long sport of running.

Your Goals Actually Need a Team

This isn’t the kind of group where you get a training schedule and then head off on your own into the wilderness. Long-term goals find success with adjustments, tweaks, and a healthy dose of camaraderie. As a coach, and as a training group, we are there with you for the workouts that count, and the little questions that come in between. And for a beer after the run of course!
